He went on to train at Makeup Designory (MUD) in Burbank, CA, where he studied advanced beauty and special effects under top instructors including Shanna Cistulli, Ray Shaffer, and Michael McCracken Jr.

Now based in Los Angeles, Jake is the current Lead of the Mask Department for Broadway’s Wicked and has contributed to major productions like Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. He has department-headed acclaimed indie films including Last Stop in Yuma County (dir. Francis Galluppi) and Bloody Bridget (dir. Richard Elfman).

He has worked alongside Oscar-winning and industry legends such as Matthew Mungle, Arjen Tuiten, and Michael McCracken Jr., and his special effects work has been featured in projects for Beyoncé, Shotgun Willy, and Derek Pope. Jake’s artistry has appeared in Dark Beauty Magazine, Stunning Beauty, and Makeup Designory’s official catalog.
